A Picnic

...in your own backyard!

Are your toddlers bored but money's tight? Take them for a picnic - in your own backyard! All you need for picnic fun is an old blanket (the cheap rubber-backed type from bargain shops is ideal), an old basket or box, lots of yummy food and treats to pack, and some sunscreen and hats - and you're all set!

Toddlers and larger children can help you to pack, and they will LOVE the adventure of trooping off down to your back fence, or sitting under a favourite tree. Eating a meal somewhere unusual is a real novelty for the little ones. Take a ball or frisbee, and you have the perfect afternoon that memories are made of - and if you've forgotten to bring something, you're only ten seconds away! Enjoy!
